First impressions: Works as advertised
Just downloaded the program today to convert some old (15-20 years old files). Installation was quick. It didn’t offer the option to open the program after installation and I had to search to find it.
Operation is seamless thus far. Find a file, drag it to the small window and it opens. It’s then easy to save your file in Word format.
I haven’t checked what it does to old formatting (I was primarily interested in retrieving the text, and that seems fine).
I also haven’t tried it on password protected files. (Hence, my 4-star rating is based on the fact that it does what it promises to, but I haven’t used it enough to determine if it’s worth a 5-star rating).
For the sale price, it’s a bargain to allow me to review these old documents so I can decide if I want to archive them, or simply get rid of them.
